Watu wa hardware na comp nisaidieni tafasari

I’m having a problem with a powering issue my comp. When I press press switch only one of two power led lights green. But the light goes off immediately I release the switch. No fun fun rotates for a fraction of a second, and no signal send to the monitor. I opened the cpu case and noted that the motherboard led powers immediately I connect the PSU to the wall socket. I’m not very sure of the cause of all this since I have not been using the machine, but previously, somebody else had been using it, though I didn’t get any complaints from them. What could be the possible cause or solution to this??

your RAM could be faulty, switch the RAM to other slots or put one in at a time.

Cud be Ram, power switch issues… Or faulty motherboard…Toa cmos battery connect power see if it will boot bila switching the on button…and try switching rams…

which type of comp??does it have a warning beep after you turn it on?

Noted beep at all. Only signal is the light from the mobo led which is maintained but power led goes off immediately after releasing power switch

i dont think its the ram then…counter check your hardisk connection.place a hand on it you you check ka inazunguka

I tried this… Not a solution

Hp

sorry to say this but you have a motherboard problem

Well, but the green mobo is still on. Anyway, any possible cause or solution?

Hdd well connected, not rotating. Btw, no component appears to be powered, not even the PSU fan

it doesnt mean the machine is completely dead…maybe a fried capacitor or a transister which is faulty…yani there is no 100% power circulation in your motherboard…MAYBE NOT 100% SURE

AMA NI POWER SUPPLY

Perhaps… But PSU still lets some current to the motherboard led and the power switch led(when switch held down)

Leo umevuta ile mild. Keep it up Myamaa wa Mwiki

It could be the faulty power switch too. If the contact stays active, its bound to switch off again

Yeah… When I press the power switch one of the power led lights, goes off immediately I release the button. But with this, yet no signal given to other components and peripherals

Just disassemble the whole thing.Yote kabisa, then blow and wipe the dust off every component. You may use home dry cleaner on some of the contacts. If you have the thermal paste then go ahead and clean the processor carefully. Assemble the system then test if its functioning. But like you’ve been told, it’s highly likely that something on your motherboard imefry…

this is happening to a friends laptop. what causes it?

Thanks… Lemmie try this. If no soln, I go to the fundi if not disposing it @kihii kianagu achukue akipitia
