I have an external 2TB WD My Passport hard disk that isn't being detected by Windows. Says as shown in the pic. The disk's LED stays on though. On connecting it to the laptop I can hear the disk spinning inside for about 2 seconds then it stops. I've tried possible solutions from YouTube with no success. For now, even data recovery software aren't detecting the disk.
IMG_20221216_110655.jpg Wadau saidieni. Can it be repaired and the data in it be retrieved? Any place you know where I can take it for repair/data retrieval?

This is chilling. I backup to the same make and model of the same capacity na kuna wakati it makes some weird click sounds. Nimeona hii post nikastuka cos my data of decades plus system image are stored there. I guess i better make another layer of backup. Cloud backup is still too costly despite the hype.

I'm thinking solid state drives are better. They're a little more expensive though.
