A common misconception amongst the general public is that ANYBODY can just become PORK.
Well, that is not the case. That privilege, as it still stands, belongs only to a certain Kenyan elite circle. The fact that all PORKs in the last 52 years managed to wind up in one photo should tell you alot.
It is this elite circle who impose on you a presidential candidate by choosing for you who is on the ballot box and who isn't. Who gets the fat juicy voting blocs and who gets left out in the cold (iron lady anyone?) Who gets to the house on the hill or not, even if they are 'the people's president.'
Now, it becomes pretty obvious to see that this long-standing elite circle cannot simply hand the institution of PORK to a total foreigner! Nuh uh...
Needless to say, Obama running for PORK is like that time RAO was rumoured to be contemplating running for the late Kajwang's senatorial seat. Wasn't gonna happen coz the seat was too small for him and and insult to his huge political stature.

Wananchi' vs. 'Wenye nchi' ... Very big difference! The retired self proclaimed 'Professor of Politics' once infamously remarked that KANU would rule for 100 years. We all thought it was a bad joke. Well, old man is laughing at us as we speak. It's a highly exclusive members-only club; attendance by invitation only, at members' discretion (remember MaDVD as a back-up plan for 2013), or as is usually the case, NO invitation at all!
History has a very uncanny and twisted way of repeating itself. One day, when the time is right, don't be surprised to see Gideon pulled from total obscurity (just like Kamwana in the year 2000), spruced up in record time with surprise nominations or high level gava appointments and then suddenly propelled into the national stage in readiness for the next polls. Meanwhile Bill, as a jilted no. 2, will be left with his own version of 'There comes a time...,' just like the late professor of mathematics...
