Version 18.1, stuck at boot loop each time I flash it:(. In any case am glad that I only have to flash the boot image to get back to normal. Any one here who is having a smooth magisk V 18.1 experience?

If you are rooted with SuperSu def No, but if yours is Magisk then Yes. Magisk hide is the feature to use.
magisk provides a systemless root. ie it patches the boot.img and not the system. therefore, you can select which apps to gain root acess. you can also hide root from other apps. However, there are some apps that precisely check for the presence of magisk.
