What's Wrong With This Laptop

I have a new laptop but there’s a problem, it won’t charge over 30%, you get the ‘plugged but not charging’ message. What could be the problem?

Try this: Review and uninstall some not so genuine programs you did (not) install. Mostly freewares.

Yeah, ata I have talked to the guy I bought it from na aliniambia he can exchange it, I’m hesitant because I have gotten used to it but shida ikiendelea I’ll return it

Compaq 8150p

That is certainly the problem but I’m not sure which program(s) are the cause. I read somewhere that the remedy for this is to uninstall ‘microsoft acpi-compliant control battery method’ but each time I remove it, it comes back

if from what am seeing online is the one, it as a very ooold model, circa 2007

SMDH! It is a furking laptop na unaongea juu ya attachment, na ukirudisha si utapewa the same make.

Small penised men mko na mambo kweli.

Its nothing to do with os, otherwise it should charge to 100% if not powered up.

Update bios. Had a similar problem with an ex-UK hp. Updating bios sorted the issue.

…Are you sure it’s new? Anyway firstly try charging with a different adapter and check how it responds. Most HP adaptors around are not 100%. Actually if I were to replace a faulty adapter, I would rather purchase those old ex-uk adapters, as opposed to a ‘new’ one.

have you checked the battery… laptop inaeza kuwa mpya but battery inaweza kuwa imebeat

Zima, toa battery, hold down power button for 15 seconds, put back the battery, restart na ucharge.
