What's your experience with alcoholics/junkees

What was your worst experience with an alcoholic, a junkee? Family, spouse or otherwise, did it ever work out?

Watu wa insults shorten them tafadhali.

Mine was not good. Alcoholism killed at least 3 family members and 3 close friends. We tried numerous times to help but our approach was not enough.

A sexy female muhindi doctor… Just coz I wanted to ser her again. That saved me from the brink. 9 years this August and still holding on to the wagon.
Currently one in the family is doing badly alcohol wise. All efforts have failed. His god has saved him from situations that would otherwise kill normal people. Hope is a never drying well…

My experience with alcoholics is that my childhoud never knew peace. Domestic violence everywhere and absent alcoholic parents. I still dont understand how i always managed to perfom well in school. I come from a long line of alcoholics yet somehow i’m not one.

You are a functioning alcoholic, there is a very thin line that separates you from the alcoholics.

I lost a childhood acquaintance last year. He was a junkie hadi akafungiwa nyumba at one time he used to sleep in the office. alikua anafanya kwa parastatal so that was easy. He used to drink anaanguka kwa njia on his way home and most people knew him some times wanamchukua wanampeleka kwake or to their place. Hata kuna time nimempata nikampeleka kwangu akadoze kwa sofa. kuamka akashtuka hajui kule yuko. Three years ago he drunk so much until he went into an alcoholic coma for one week. When he recovered his younger sister was so shocked she used to pick him every friday to take him to her place and return him on Monday morning well fed and clean. However she reached a point wakadhani he had reformed kumbe he was to start drinking daily very cheap plastic bottled drinks za 150 bob. Zingine hata hamjawahi sikia. While on his own he used to eat sporadically due to the drinking and even taking a shower was another thing altogether. So last year he went drinking one July night with no jacket and blacked out. This time nobody who knew him found him on the road. It was very cold and he slept on the concrete. Morning he was found dead from the extreme July cold. They found him with blood coming from the mouth.

I dont know no junkies, but alcoholics are the most honest people outchea, the best friends you can get, some be very stingy but wengi wana ROHO MZOORI sana. Problem is they neglect their bodies, have poor eating habits and have virtually no hygiene care…

Ni hayo tuuu

@ku-buda, come here.

I was brought up in an environment that was full of alcoholics. Seen some of the brightest minds I went to school with now wasted and only living for the bottle, it is so sad. Hata ukijaribu kusaidia unachoka tu.

I stopped drinking this year.I dont like the way that liquor has taken all my 4 brothers .Though not that extreme ati kuwa walevi saana,lakini unakuta mtu ako na dooh this month but come next month he’s asking for a loan.Mind you, 3 are in building and construction and for those who are familiar with this field, wanaelewe pesa ni mingi.
