Hi there,
Kindly any with experience help me, I have a car-Toyota Ractis which I bought three years ago, now the engine has started to have high service and maintenance costs due to high mileage. But still the car has good body and other parts. I was thinking changing the engine. The used engine which I need is 1NZ-FE which has cc 1497. Where in Nairobi/Mombasa can get it, I mean reliable suppliers, what are checks which I should do before buying the engine. I there any warranties given by suppliers? .Will be very happy to hear from people who have experience in changing engine!

There are no warranties on used cars or parts. I can send you a mech’s number who has changed a couple of engines for me. He’ll source and do the transplant.

What is your experience on this does the used engine last longer after transplant? Kindly give me the MECH number!
