Where's the Money?

In 2015 the Chinese government gave the Ministry of Foreign Affairs money for it to build a mega new building to house a new HQ for the ministry which would have had conference facilities, offices, restaurants etc. But ever since the money was given we have not seen anything just like those ghost cities in China. Where’s did the money?

In a move to deepen its relationship with Kenya, the Chinese government has dished out Sh15.16 billion to various Kenyan ministries at a State House event graced by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Chinese Minister for Commerce Gao Hucheng granted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sh4.7 billion to build new headquarters. https://www.nation.co.ke/business/China-dishes-out-Sh15bn-to-Kenya-in-loans-and-grants-/-/996/2999464/-/lf1ptt/-/index.html

did the money is missing

You read anything in the media as gospel truth?

Why does ministry of foreign affairs need a new HQ. The current offices have been adequate since independence and will still be adequate in the future.

There are a lot of wrong info there but I wouldn’t point them out.

a ministry HQ compete with restaurants and helipad and a mall and etc? what for? bullshit. Tafuta floors tatu in a building and partition it vizuri uache kusumbua taxpayers.

Uhuru himself wanted the ministry to move out of the CBD so they can build a brand new HQ that will house several departments and as well have conferencing facilities for high-level meetings.

China itself gave the ministry a 4Bn shilling grant to make this happen. Question is where did the money go??

The government plans to move the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Harambee Avenue to the controversial State House Crescent land that is currently subject of a court case.

Suspended Land secretary Charity Ngilu said the ownership of the land was revoked in January on orders from President Uhuru Kenyatta after the use of that parcel was diverted from its intended use.
