Why believe in God?

Every one of us (unless you have a neurological problem) has a moral compass within us. If you behave as a human should; love your neighbor, help those in need, be kind to everyone etc what’s the need of believing in a god. From personal observations, many (not all) Christians tend to replace their humanity with religion. Because you go to church, you don’t feel the need to help someone in need. You feel like you have already done your penance.

As someone wrote recently…the bible emphasizes a lot on attributes like humility, respect, love, kindness and turning the other cheek. But doing these requires a great deal of effort and sacrifice. It is much easier to be a judge and preach against everything you deem unholy – homosexuality, not going to church, non-christian music, yoga etc.

If you have all these good attributes (or at least try to cultivate them), why believe in God?

I believe in.science of.mind

You are a scatter brained atheist. Believing in God and helping someone in need are not mutually exclusive. You are quick to pass judgement but you don’t even realize it. At least I do and like I said you are a scatter brained atheist.
