Why Genuine Miracles are rare in modern churches

It’s simple because miracles do not exist in the church setting. Miracles do exist but not as a result of being prayed for and most definitely not in these churches.
However on personal levels, some people have had situations that can be considered miracles, happen in the lives.

In my opinion there are no such things as miracles. At best what we have is uncommon but natural phenomena at work in a given setting. Let me give you an example. We are all aware of gravity, right? Now, planes fly despite gravity because they make use of another natural phenomenon, that of aerodynamics, that can supercede gravity under certain circumstances.

Now, someone who is not aware of the laws of aerodynamics and how the plane flies would see it as a ‘miracle’, ‘magic’ or such. While those in the know consider it all as something completely natural. That is where knowledge comes in.

Now, the church has neither knowlege nor experience of the real workings of nature, so they emphasise doctrines and obedience. The few that can do seemingly ‘miraculous’ stuff, especially in Africa rely on other traditional systems such as Voodoo and other native religions which have kept in touch with specific aspects of human life and nature and use them to do their miracles. Even Jesus too, (if he existed) relied on little known but real natural phenomena to do his so called ‘miracles’, as do the yogis and fakirs and other ‘miracle workers’ who can do similar feats too.
