Why I love Baba

Alot of folks can’t for the life of them comprehend why as a GEMA I love Baba, I always vote for Baba. It’s not because I am a Luo coon because I will admit that I am tribal elitist. I think my tribe is the best and even look down on the other mountain mates. And even look down on non imenti merus like Tharaka. And so I find some of these far off tribes like Luos totally insufferable. Especially their males who are just big ego for nothing like our very own mjaxxx. But I lo’e Baba non the less. That man can do no wrong in my eyes.

Here is why. When I was growing up Baba was this super hero. We spoke of him in great awe. A man who could dare take on dictator Moi. He went to torture chambers. His family, friends and associates got financially destroyed and harassed. His wife Ida lost her job at Kenya High and got evicted. It was alot worse than the state terror unleashed on Miguna.

Others who went through similar situations were never the same. Matiba, Kihoro and many others were affected for life. Yet Baba rose like a Phoenix from the ashes. The man has transcended so much suffering and betrayal yet his spirit has not been broken.

Very few human beings have the kind of strength of spirit that Baba has. To me he is Kenya’s GOAT. Baba is selfless and has paid dearly for the freedoms we take for granted today. Baba epitomizes the adage that you can’t keep a great man down.

Long live Baba.

:D:D:DContinue with your Baba worshipping and pledge of alliance pole pole without disturbing the peace…

Kenya will also never have a Majority Leader as effective and respectable as Duale

1.What one freedom that we enjoy today did Raila fought ?

Kula likes mia…your first ever sensible post since you joined ktalk in 1990s

I agree with all that, he belongs in the hall of fame. He lost my respect when he stood by fake server logs that as IT guy am ashamed that it went to supreme court over them. A person who stands on a lie even after he has been caught is worse than a snake (nothing wrong with snakes, just misunderstood creatures).

Tanga tanga is very quiet nowadays. Have kalenjin farmers been paid yet ama that money is reserved for hustlers sister and chief of staff. You are such an idiot. What kind of man steals from his own people? Fertilizer, maize. Talk about worshipping someone who has never done a darn thing for your community except steal from them. A pot calling a kettle black.

Politics is about lies. You can’t be a politician if you can’t lie. Chupilee has done nothing but lie to you I don’t see you calling a python.

Baba can never ever lose respect in my eyes and in the eyes of many Kenyans who know what hell this great man brought us from. It’s the millennials who don’t get it bcz they didn’t live through a time where speaking against the government could get you killed.

You must be a millennial who thinks Kenya has always enjoyed the freedom it now has

Freedom of speech and expression

Freedom of Association

Freedom of Assembly and protest

Multiparty system

I joined last year. Or 2016. Not sure. Thought you defected to the other village. I really can’t stand luos though they’re proud for nothing so take back your back handed compliment. I don’t want it.

Never understood how one can dislike someone else solely due to his tribe. Even before they have a conversation of any kind. Our generation is more tribal than our parents bana. Anyway anytime I meet a Meru and are going through our formal introductions, they always start talking to me in Kyuk. So do Merus look at Kikuyu as a superior tribe?

Ngombe not any fan of raila is a luo…am a fan of raila as a statesman

You may not know this, but there are many, many people from diverse ethnic and professional backgrounds who struggled -harder than Raila against Moi’s oppressive regime -

  1. Sheikh Khalid Balala
  2. Bishop Alexander Muge
  3. The Reverend Timothy Njoya
  4. Charles Rubia
  5. Masinde Muliro
  6. Kenneth Matiba.
  7. Koigi Wamwere
  8. Wanyiri Kihoro
  9. Jaramogi Odinga
  10. Kijana Wamalwa
  11. James Orengo
  12. Isaiah Ngotho
  13. David Oyugi
  14. Kariuki Gathitu
  15. George Moseti Anyona
  16. Njeru Kathangu
  17. Wangari Mathai
  18. Martin Shikuku
  19. even your tribesman, Gitobu Imanyara

And many other faceless people, dead and alive.

To credit the gains solely to Raila is not just inaccurate, it is a clear manifestation of ignorance and ineptitude.
