Why I stopped going to the mech

Niliambiwa at least kitunguu inukie kwa mech. I’ll tell you why my answer is brare hell no.

Now, me hujifanyia hii works. It’s tiring but nailike.

When I got my car, I was very VERY green. I was referred to a mech

First mech despite being paid 90k

Did: Full service, spray paint

Messed: PSP, didn’t do rewiring, seals for power steering, didn’t change oils, didn’t replace transmission mount which I found broken in HALF, didn’t fix door lock, didn’t fix ac radiator, didn’t clear codes, basically the nyangau didn’t do sufficient shit.
Nikampiga eqwetah!

Second mech despite a total of 130k (including fixing mech1’s messes)

Did: an awesome job with all the things the first mech didn’t do

Messed: his reputation by charging me WAAAAAAAAY above market prices. He was very pricey and hardly negotiated. Even the guy who referred me to him stopped going to him. But he was very sociable. Examples : 850 for a 30-shilling bulb, 22k for a 7k light, 25k for 3k5 air flow sensor, 15k+labour for a stabilizer bar…… I always did an aliexpress check when he mentioned his price and it’s when i realized huyu mse ni expe.

I drew the line when he charged me for my own part. MY OWN PART!! – I found out months later. And that was the beginning of YouTube and experimenting. Ndio maana nasema NEVER LEAVE YOUR CAR KWA MECH ALONE. EVER!

 1. Ask your mech how much parts cost, then check aliexpress.com. uliza kiujinga. they almost always add their cut hapo juu
 2. Get the name of the part and watch how he undoes and does it. monkey see, monkey do.
 3. If after, gari haliko sawa, RUDISHA and make him repair it at no cost
 4. I suggest kila mwanaume ajifundishe kujisortia gari. si lazima uifanye kama hutaki, but KNOW how to do it. It helped me nikiwa ushago hapo november interior kabisa and mechs were 70kms away
 5. Carry all your tools, na kama hauna, nunua. jumper cable, tow rope, pliers, wrench set (i have a 130-piece set), kila kitu. make sure ziko kwa boot. usisahau silicon na super glue.

Wrench set si expe

Parts are in millions so you have no excuse

huyu boyz na wengine wamenichanua (always check “other vids you may be interested in”)

Kwa kufunga, ni body work pekee me hupelekea mse wangu hapo baricho road.

Lakini kuingia kwa settings, hakuna kitu kama hiyo.

I wish I had time to do that for kicks.

Kumbe hata wewe ni subscriber wa chrisfixit… Don’t also forget EricTheCarGuy…ako poa pia; thow Chris does things in a simple manner. I do all my electronics. Na ikishindikana kabisa naitupa; juu kupelekea ‘fundi’ is a waste of time and resources. Na hata gari am definitely going the same way, but will for now handle basics kaa plugs, Brakes, ATF, etc. Major service ndio napelekea fundi konde.

Actually kwa doc lazma uende …but you have to verify everything he says or suggests. Hawa docs wa kenya dont polish up after school. Si @Luther12 unajuanga?

So for me, simezi dawa before ni.google ni ya nini …si fanyiwi kitu kabla nijue ni nini

Verify …verify …damnit VERIFY

@1776…naona tuko in the same boat…i learnt the hard way how to do my own stuff…Nilikuwa na Opel na nilikuwa nalia every time nikskia iko shida…Fast forward niliingia ngugu nikaona huko UK Vauxhall/Opel ndio kama “Toyota” hapa kwetu…Nikajoin forums za huko na wasse walikuwa wananisort hata spares kwa bei nafuu, Waria shipping ndio zake, service parts i would buy for 15k zikadrop to 4.5k. Sensor nilipewa bure nitest…siku hizi nagonga watu niwaelezee shida za magari zao hehe…

mech wa kwanza ilikuwa bei ya 7500. i told him ngoja nijipange.

kama kuna kitu hu udhi ni hizi spares za Taiwan. If you send the Mech he will most probably use them on your car. After two weeks umerudi kwake for the same thing.

Mean mofos, mnafikiri mkifanya hivyo watu wengine watakula wapi? Spread the wealth men!

there is someone who comes to your organisation looking for work.
will you leave so that he can do it? you spread the wealth.
together with others, we are spreading the wealth of knowledge that we have.

What you can charge for expensively is specialized knowledge, lakini kukula left right and centre and overcharging it ndio watu hawataki ata kidogo.
