Why Rwanda is taking over and Kagame is the real deal

This country already outshines many countries in Africa and is a perfect example of what law and order can do to a country when it is perfectly instilled

Good measured control and discipline is good for any society. The problem here is a don’t care attitude. Let me litter, throw stuff, break things and cut corners. Kwani kazi ya county and government ni nini? Where were the police to authorities to stop me from committing this crime or stop others.

This is where I strongly agree with Guka @FieldMarshal CouchP we are doing the infrastructure hardware now let’s reform the Kenyans mindset aka software.

We have focused much on the hardware and failed to focus on the software part not knowing that as a country a corrupt software in place of a perfect and good hardware wont deliver you any likable results

Rwanda is a ticking time bomb. You cannot suppres democracy and force things and expect nothing. Kagame holds Rwanda together by iron fist. Disenting opinions have been jailed, tortured, and killed. Many voices have been assassinated in S.Africa and Belgium while many continue to seek refuge in many other countries. Once he exits power, real contest will begin, and the hell will break loose.

Admittedly, nice city.
But can’t help but notice that traffic is superlatively minimal. Very few vehicles on the road. Very few pedestrians. Kisha picha hizi ni CBD pekee, you won’t find pictures of elsewhere in the town.

By the way, Kigali is comparable to Moshi town in Tanzania, in terms of cleanliness.

Longterm prosperity cannot be based on dictatorship. For example, the US will survive trump and continue to prosper. But can rwanda survive a trump-like president? Doubtful

The flipside is shortterm prosperity can be based on a dictatorship. E.g Kenyatta I, first 15yrs of mugabe, Adolph Hitler before WW2 etc

What about Singapore which managed to survive after the dictator Lee kuan yew left… And the country is still stable

What am saying is that in an overwhelming majority of cases, dictatorship wont lead to longterm prosperity.

Signgapore managed yes but its among the very few countries that have managed.

The most prosperious countries of our age are democracies… western Europe (and now eastern europe is catching up after the fall of communist dictatorship), usa, australia, canada, japan (though this one is just strange)

Countries like britain and the US have been democracies for centuries and they are doing ok. Singapore itself has turned to democracy and its doing well.

What do you mean by a "Trump like"president?!

Liberals mnapenda kuongea meffi sana. Do you even know how many jobs he has created?

Actually President Kagame took inspiration from him. Also just like Lee Khan Yew, President Kagame is very popular in Rwanda. 95% of them voted to remove Presidential term limits in their constitution so that he can continue to led them.

Hehehe… mbona nyinyi immigrants munajifanyanga mko more patriotic than the ppl who were born there?

Hehehe… mbona nyinyi immigrants munajifanyanga mko more patriotic than the ppl who were born there?

So they will all of a sudden become corrupt and start littering the city ?

Wachana na Trump kwanza, kesi ya cuzo yako imefika wapi kwanza? Jowie aliachiliwa?

very true. You can actually count the number of vehicles on the road outside kigali. i doubt of the whole of Rwanda could be having even 500k vehicles…

But it is understandable. Their population is small. I think we cannot judge the progress of a country based on population. Even Burundi has almost similar population to Rwanda but it is the complete opposite of Rwanda. It is very underdeveloped and lawlessness rein throughout the country.

Singapore is the gate that facilitates trade between the Pacific and Indian Ocean. It’s like the Asian Suez canal, so sio dictatorship pekee, plus it has plenty of immigrants from China and India who helped develop it with money from their richer homelands.

Na poverty ingine haikai. Especially in the villages. I think Top gear walifanya special huko. Wakikwama kwa milima.

Am in Kigali now and have traveserd the city and estates, the facilities are still top notch especially the road network, pedestrian walkways and general cleanliness
