Tesla are the big fish when it comes to EV technology, and being an American company they are making very standard products. In fact Tesla model 3 has received a 5start crash test rating. In most car accidents the ones that are fatal accidents are usually a headon collision and the fact that Tesla hana engine huko mbele makes it the safest car in overall standard measures.
Now the most important thing in a car is an engine and a gearbox,in the case of Tesla the important thing is the drive motors and the battery. Incase of an accident a Tesla drive motors and the battery get very minimal or absolutely no damage. So mechanics and engineers are salvangin these written of Tesla from insurance companies taking off the motors and batteries and use them to resurrect some old vintage cars which have been dumped due to lack of spare parts.
They are creating a very high demand for crashed teslas because technically with just a bit of passion and welding experience u can fit a Tesla motor into any car regardless of its shape or age.
So Tesla are not going to get any cheaper soon because their high quality motors are in demand to custom build other vintage vehicles. What we will probably get in the coming years are cheap Japanese models of EV vehicles. In fact the EV market is not going to phase out the combustion cars because even here in Kenya many vintage cars will be resurrected as EV when the batteries and motor become readily available.

Last evening BBC said that this will be a war between batteries and hydrogen. China is leading in batteries. Kenyan engineers don’t be left behind. This is the new black gold.
Considering how ready to explode hydrogen is, g how shot standard are locally I wouldn’t bet on hydrogen much, though all you need is water to produce it cheaply by electrolysis.

BBC walisema that London wants to lead in the hydrogen power sector. Already all diesel double decker buses are being phased out in favour of hydrogen fuel cell buses. Many of the red buses you know of in london are today breathing out water. They were launched 2 years ago by Mayor Khan but several were already in operation over 10 years earlier, test phase.
