will paul in trouble

Wednesday, 10 September 2014 -
Award winning gospel singer, Willy
Paul, has been served with court
papers by an up-coming gospel
artist known as, Elijah Prince, for
copyright infringement.
This is after the Kitanzi hit maker
allegedly stole his latest hit song
Tam Tam from the Eldoret based
artist. According to Elijah, Willy
Paul plagiarized his song dubbed
Kitamtam and reproduced it to
Tam Tam and Tam Tam remix
where he features Size 8.
Through his lawyers, Elijah has
demanded that Willy Paul admits
to copyright infringement, failure
to which they will settle the case
in a court of law. Willy Paul has
been given 7 days from the date
he receives the court’s document
to admit liability.
“… needless to say, you have
grossly infringed our client’s
copyrights as protected under the
copyright Act 2001, Cap 130 Laws
of Kenya for which we demand
your admission of liability after
which we can enter into
negotiations for appropriate
compensation …hold you to
account if we do not hear from you
substantially within the next Seven
(7( Days hereof.” Part of the
document read.
We will keep you posted on this
developing story.
