The Windows 7 End of Life is now here. On January 14, 2020 Microsoft stopped updating or providing support for Windows 7.

This decision by Microsoft isn’t surprising. The decade-old operating system, which launched in July 22, 2009, may have been incredibly popular – and it still is with recent reports from Netmarketshare suggesting that Windows 7 is still being used on 39% of all PCs. However, in the shadow of Windows 10’s success, it only makes sense for Microsoft dedicate all their time and effort in improving the new OS.

I used XP up to mid 2018 bila shida. Still running Windows 7 on two other machines. And this involved heavy computing. Rigged my machine with a higher RAM and all was fine. I was running Power BI, Visual Studio, Macromedia, Netbeans, Java SDK, Heidi, Mysql, Crystal reports and a bunch of other softwares. I don’t like how Microsoft always seek to force our hand. If it works don’t fix it.
