Wonders of Modern Medicine

First, let me just say that I am fvcking Wolverine. I don’t get sick. Last time I checked into a hospital (for my own treatment) was in 2008.

Last week, however, the cold came, my mutant gene waned and consequently got a bacterial infection. I would have skipped hospital too (self prescribing ftw!); but you see, about seven weeks before that I had injured my right middle finger carrying a box of heavy stuff. And even though the pain had gone away, there was a tough lump that formed under the skin right where the finger connects to the palm. And it was growing. And starting to get uncomfortable.

There’s no self medication for that. Not even on Google.

So I checked into a clinic and went through the usual tests --BP, weight, etc. Everything is A-OK.

An X-Ray had to be done to ensure there isn’t anything funky going on with my bones. In my mind I thought my finger would have to be cut open to remove the lump. Once it was established that my Adamantium bones cannot be cracked, the doc prescribed this cocktail of drugs (Zinnat, Dynapar Gel, Enzoflam, Montelukast, Promethazine). In just two days, the lump had disappeared like NYS money and I was feeling bacteria free… I’m over here flexing my fingers smiling like a horse.

I guess the lesson is, don’t carry boxes of heavy stuff, and get a good health cover. Some private clinics won’t accept your NHIF card, and it cost a pretty penny to get healthy.

One more thing. Those drugs really screw with you ten minutes after taking them. They make you feel like your bones are made of rubber.

hehehe antibiotics will make every fluid coming out of your body smell like it. It’s like drinking Mnazi

Disappeared like NYS money :D:D:D:D

Sahii mission hospitals ndio zinasaidia kama huna health cover

The lump…where has it gone to?
