There are new F1 owners from the usa. They bought out the previous owners. Now they want to take F1 from elite to mainstream. That’s where WWE is becoming visible there. This marketing gimmick is supposed to draw in younger audience to F1. Problem is that young viewers can’t buy Ferraris or high end cars, Rolex and other big brands that make up F1 traditions. They should just concentrate cars performance which draw us there from the start.

So you would prefer old burger Bernie Ecclestone’s management style over what Liberty Media & Chase Carey are tryna do ?

Ecclestone knows F1 needs to maintain its elite status to challenge people to climb up to ladder rather than water it down by climbing down. The best car engines in the world owe it to F1 inventions to push beyond the limits of conventional physics. Chase Carey thinks that hits on shoshomedia is more important and that means drawing down F1 to be relevant to the youth. Ecclestone was too old to run F1 anymore, prone to be corrupt as well but he knew how to progress F1 through global changes while keeping the standards high. He took it to Sochi Russia, Doha, Singapore, India etc. Let’s learn from the old geezer.

Liberty are doing a wonderful job in promoting the sport. F1 belongs to every audience - old & young. I felt you’re trying to undermine the latter.
In terms of the racing aspect, there’s a reason why they brought Ross Brawn on board
It’s the old guard who think F1 shouldn’t reach out to the masses

I’m not rich here and definitely not anywhere rich there but I have been watching F1 for a while. The allure of $10 million cars at the edge of science racing each other at neck breaking speeds drew me to F1. The concept works so why change it. They even spread the races more globally. I’m still not convinced they need to change what works. Yes incorporate shoshomedia in it but don’t change the concept. What they can do more is if possible ask organizers to change the routes to allow more places where cars can be overtaken easily. This days the cars are so fast and races so technical such that its only at the start that drivers can overtake each other. Pit stops are also well timed that its not a gamechanger unless something goes wrong. Lastly let them spread the revenue more to the lower teams rather than the top three of Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull.

McLaren are becoming a pain in the taint. I gather they vetoed the shark fins for 2018 since it doesn’t work for them.
Regarding the lack of overtaking; they should get rid of the complex front wings. They hamper the cars’ ability in following in ‘dirty air’
They should also bring back the noise. Maybe introduce a new waste gate in the exhaust pipe et cetera

Other teams should try out RBRs high rake concept to enhance following.
That has been Mercedes’ Achilles heel this season

has F1 circuit ever come to Africa?

Used to be hosted in South Africa during the apartheid era before they stopped.
