Zuku Fiber - 10Mbps vs 20Mbps

I am on Zuku Fiber. I am on infinite 10 package (10Mbps Unlimited High Speed Internet) and I want to upgrade to infinite 20 (20Mbps Unlimited High Speed Internet); has anyone had an experience with this? ANy significant bump in speed?? (I have recently discovered streaming and some channels I like constantly keep stuttering and buffering).
(Mind you, on the 10Mbps package I have now, I have never had download speeds greater than 1.3 Mbps…,it is usually at about 1.1-1.3 Mbps… is that normal?)

Shared vs dedicated

I really dont know… do you think upgrading will significantly improve my streaming (using TVMC); some of the live footbal channels are annoying with all teh buffering

Im on 20 mbs speed is Amazing.

Have done a speed test on OOkla and actually I recieve the 10Mbps download speed!!

Great. I think an upgrade will be worth it!

Mnaishi wapi huko kuna fibre?

wacha umama, kama speed ni 10Mbps (small b for bit) the highest speed you can do is 1.25MBs per second (big B for byte). So if you get 20Mbps your max. download speed will be 2.5MBs per second. 1 byte is equal to 8 bits

@Sure .uko sure hio ni 10mbs uko nayo …coz iv witnessed torrents zikienda mpaka 5mbs on that 10mbs package… And also I have 1mbs kejani and I stream SD channels very smooth.HD channels ndio tu hua zinajikokota

some sport sites ziko tu na traffic mbovu. copy the embed code n watch from your own side

then i think 10mbps is enough for 720p which is considered HD

Elaborate.

Skiza vile @shocks amekuambia.

Hata ukiupgrade, hizo sites hazitawacha kubuffer.

Try torrenting the rarer things and be patient.

There is a big difference between a bit and a byte as @shocks has elaborated. Zuku net is dedicated.

Mimi hushinda kuelezea watu this point hawashiki! Juzi hapa nairobi west some zuku agent was almost beaten for selling 10Mbps na speedtest inaonesha 1MBps. At times i think its just a marketing strategy, so that the people who buy 10Mbps to think they can download 1GB of data in 100 seconds

Kudos to @shocks for making me understand this now much more clearly…I actually receive the advertised 10Mbps…but all along I have imagined this is supposed to be 10MBps! (with a capital B!) so I always got surprised when I max out my downloads at the 1.2-1.3MBps. This Tech forum is awesome! Kudos to all the folks who take the time to contribute.

@Deorro,can you post instructions on how to do this??

Unda blog ya blogger halafu post the embed links hapo n stream from your blog ama unda a WordPress based website n watch from huko. Mimi i have one where i watch from. Juu hizo zingine watu hujaza hence their bandwidth is kinda exceeded making it slow
