Very sad. Lakini most of these trips people take are so unnecessary. Where were you going, to do what? Travelling is a huge risk to life and limb. Lack of first aid is another reason why mortality after road accidents is high. A young friend of mine died last year leaving behind a wife and 1 year old daughter. He suffered a collapsed lung which apparently is easy to treat if promptly recognized. The lay public should be educated on basic first aid instead of standing there just gazing or taking photos.

We didn’t ask for this …if we needed it we know where to get it. Thus the tragedy here is not so much the fatal accident, but your perennial kiereere

At least give them props for trying unlike those who stand back during a crisis, the worst human beings. God forbid any of us were in an accident, seeing concerned people around would instill hope.

There are two types here that really don’t help the situation. The outright thief and the ignorant “do gooder” that has no clue as far as first aid is concerned or is a Dr. house wanabe. Either way the victim is likely to end up very dead. You can help by securing the are and allowing those with know how to do their part.

That road should have bumps like the embu meru road. Driving to transmara from sameta is always terryfing as some idiots are racing and overtaking downhill around sharp bends.

Moving an accident victim may exacerbate the injury. Only do it when there’s a sign things will get worse and to make someone comfortable.
