ALCOHOL AND CHRISTIANITY

Proverbs 31:6 Alcohol is for the dying, and wine for those in bitter distress.

He could have healed a sick man as a first miracle. Or raise Lazarus.
Nop, this was not only to show he could do miracles, I think it was also to prove a point. Wine is not sin

Online versions or not, it’s not easy to know at what point the bible was edited

What if there is?

In the book of Ecclesiastes ,the philosopher encourages us to enjoy the gifts of our hard work. He goes on to say that we shld take wine and indulge in fine dining. For it is God’s gift to us. He only warns us not to get trapped in the arms of a woman.

If you will notice with most of the book of Ecc, the author keeps speaking about “under the sun”…he was referring to things on the perspective of guy on the earth. Eg in Eccl 3:19 he says both man and beast have no difference, they have the same breath…yet we know beast does not have spirit like man. Eccl has an earthly dimension, so you must have that in mind as you read it…

Ballz!

All things are acceptable but not all of these things will benefit you.Do not be enslaved by anything, for it is for freedom Christ has died for you. Meaning all habit forming substances are proscribed for believers!

Wedding is a function, bad stomach needing wine is an exception. Now if you drink every week, are you attending a wedding,or are you having a bad tummy every week or are you having a party every week? This are the acceptable contexts you’ve highlighted in the Word.

As a believer your body is a temple! If alcohol kills your braincells which are irreplaceable and you partake of it weekly even daily, you’re guilty of not just defiling but destroying the Lord’s temple. And God will destroy those who destroy His temple.

If most crimes are committed under the influence of alcohol and drugs then it follows that these are things to avoid. The Bible need not spell out everything! Some things are pretty obvious!

“For God is not the author of confusion” 1 Corinthians (14:33)

The Bible, a book full of contradictions, a book written by man is bound to cause confusion any book/message from God contains no contradictions.

“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit” Ephesians(5:18)

"Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do."Ecclesiastes(9:7)

And who wrote the Quran? Please just answer and don’t turn this into a bashing fest.
