Most of those congressmen and senators come from rich families who are scions of industry; they have privileged schooling , generations have owned million/billion dollar industries and have been in politics. They get into politics to serve country and not to get rich . Am sure there are a few corrupt ones but federal law expects one to file their wealth from buildings to stocks and this is public record . When you look at these list you see generational wealth not gugula money.
