Nope, the samsung Wireless charger was like 3k and shipping and Duties were automatically added to be 1600 to the product. They shipped to Kenya via Posta.No duty was paid at the Post Office as it had been paid beforehand

Have you tried savo store ndio ujue kuchezwa ni nini … the mafakas just give you a quotation out of their ass … ka a smart phone unaambiwa 2,200 na its less than a kg that they say they are charging 1500 per kilo … another item i paid 7k hiyo ndio iliniuma the most with items of approx 15k

If you never got a shipping quotation twice the purchase price of your items (e.g you buy an item for 10k then ship at 20k or more) then you have yet to experience real shock hehe.

But in some cases it helps.Some sellers are underpricing a product then shifting the cost to shipping. There are Items worth 14k that was sold at 4k and shipping was 10k.You pay taxes on the 4k only.
