overcompensating baby-boomers

Nope. There were people who would get Fs and end up doing supplementaries . There were people who were expelled for contravening school regulations. Yes kids had money, not all but most. The day bugs used to drive luxury cars -Range Rovers and shindes. The carpark was like a luxury car yard. People wouldnt push with lecturers coz lecturers were considered poor ,more like servants. Kama your student is driving a shinde na wewe hata gari huna. Utamwambia nini? All you can do is provide tuition to make an extra buck for weak students. There were also American Professors who would come regularly to teach on Sabbatical and those ones were very strict ,we had some who would give a cat and an assignment every fortnight and marking standards were very high hungepita course inafunzwa na American Prof kama huja hand in assignments on time or if you copied someone’s work -they were very thorough compared to Kenyan lecturers. Alafu the VC back then was very strict on everything -students wakicomplain about a lecturer he is out, food, sanitation, everything ilikua tiptop and because students were less than 500 it was very intimate and relaxed. So it was American standard type education coz they were harmonising with the mother campus in the US. Btw there are parents who are not keen on releasing their kids to go do their uni abroad due to negative influences there and the bad weather.

Btw how much is the fee? Students wengi hata hawajui how much fee their parents paid.

Its atleast half meter a year and if you are a foreigner 20% more. So its not exactly cheap.

:D:D:D…with a campus on tom mboya street :D:D:D
