You have to download cyanogen mod 12 rom.
your android must be rooted.
what to do:

- Download:
custom firmware zip file for android.
cyanogen mod 12 rom.zip - put it on sdcard.
- Put phone to recovery
- Scroll to update from zip file. (using volume+ and volume- to scroll) and power or centre button for ok!
- locate the custom firmware compressed file you downloaded i should be in. zip format.
- press ok.
- after installing .
- a new recovery mode will apear with more features like back up system e.t.c
- scroll to clear delvik cache. and press ok.
- scroll to back up system/phone to back up phone incase anything goes wrong.
- scroll to wipe data. and press ok to wipe all data on phone.
- go again to install update from. zip and locate your cyanogen mod rom.
- press ok and wait for rom to install.
- reboot phone.
- go to about phone.
17? you will see your on android 5.0 or 5.1.
Congrats you just upgraded from 4 android to v5.
