That water is still good. They can build a desalination plant. If they were clever they should have forced Tullow to build one before they started their activities. For working in their quarters. That way it would have been billed to investors( prospectors). But that Nanok character was after black gold. Couldn’t see 1.5 meters beyond a black mist.

Nothing unlucky really. The Turkana have been marginalized historically. With Advent of Devolution they elected looters at county level who squandered the huge allocations given to them.

The Tulllow thing also brought out some aspects of their character. There was a very strong sense of entitlement to their oil at times to exclusion of other Kenyans. Now that things are elephant matters will return to settings.

Not really sir. I have highlighted several issues.

1. corruption in counties.
2. Betrayal of ethnic minorities by their leaders who have exploited them more than the National Govt used to.
3. Resource Nationalism by ethnic groups in Kenya. You even heard one Gatundu Partot say that tribes that didn’t vote for president should not get devpt. There are our oil undertones have been there.
4. The eceonomic effects of Tullow stoppage and low oil prices will affect economy and some boom towns may have to adjust.
