They’ve found planets that are remarkably similar to earth so it’s not unreasonable to assume that life could have arisen there. I just hope it happens during our lifetimes. In fact NASA is planning to send a space probe to the nearest star Alpha Centauri. It’s located two light years away, they are currently building probes then can travel between 10-15% the speed of light, meaning they will arrive after 20 years. Alpha Centauri has two earth like planets that could have a breatheable air, flowing water and a hospitable environment for life

It didn’t come out of nothing. The prevailing belief is that there was another universe which experienced a big crunch or a big freeze or a big rip and formed the current one. So it’s an oscillating crunch/rip/freeze and bang cycle. The previous universe could have had completely foreign physics laws like gravity which acts only sideways or even weird energy states where matter is only cold instead of hot.
