Germans don’t make cars…they engineer epic machines. Most of these don’t come cheap. For obvious reasons.(depends on how deep your pockets go). And this is on both purchase and Maintenance.(allegedly). However, one owner of a 2.0 ltr 2006 Audi A3 Hatchback viciously disputes the later. She claims- (Yes it’s a woman)- that for the 3 years that she’s had this compact little beast, she’s spent far less than she had spent on her previous ride for a single year -a Toyota Allex-(Yes it had to be a Toyota). She says that the only time she’s been to the mechanic are the ‘normal’ service visits i.e; oil change bluh bluh bluh…The most expensive overhaul she’s done to date is a recent change of all the shocks. AT 12K apiece. This came after she hit the occassional and very random pothole due to a heavy right foot- (Again, Yes it’s a woman)-. Her Mechanic has ‘promised’ that the next time she’l need to change them is after 5 years!
So is it true that despite the high spare parts costs for German Machines, their longevity and reliability might actually be easier on the pocket than a Toyota??[ATTACH=full]89633[/ATTACH]

I dont know why I usually smash them, especially when agitated about something else. Lakini tire zinakuwanga deformed kiasi. I usually replace the front set if it shows too much swelling.
Ukigonga na 17 inch ama 19 inch, dont expect the same results.

I thought it would break, but I have done it several times and its still sturdy and noiseless. My suspension is as good as factory though. and most toyotas you see around are light vehicles(reason for fuel efficiency). The other thing is that you dont brake into a bump or a pothole. You brake, but when you get there let it fly free. hautakufa. If you brake into a bump you will completely damage the vehicle, ata kama ni gani.

Same car same parent (company) though Audi is considered higher class but at A3 level sijaona difference. In fact spares are shared

my Buddy in south b tells me of a fundi in his hood who is swamped with over 5 Audi A4 models, zote zimeleta nuks hadi one owner sold his car to a fellow Audi owner so that it could be used as a source of spare tools

Sometimes in January i had such a scenario , it was terrifying.I hit a pot hole at Wamumu ,Mwea and i felt like the front right suspension mechanism had shattered into pieces.I had to stop and thoroughly check since i was heading to Meru.
