I’ve fixed several routers via ttl connection. It’s not that difficult if you’re a techy.
In a nutshell, you need to make a serial connection to the router. Once established, push the firmware to the device. You can either convert the old Nokia DKU 5 cables, a raspberry pi or USB to ttl UART converter (my preferred choice). You will have to open up the router, find the RX,TX and power pin outs. Old and legendary XP comes in handy. You’ll also need usb prolific drivers, soldering skills, pin out diagram and meter. Take note SOHO routers are cheap. The time taken in repairing one may be equivalent to buying a new one. Good luck.

can you elaborate on this since i have tried using the Nokia cable with no success. Am hope thats all
