Mimi i did my mancave 2 years ago, ikaisha, i was hapa full time. What i learnt is kujenga depends on location mimi hapa Isiolo maze vitu are too expensive, from mawe machine cut 60 bob per piece, yaani pesa inafly, labour ndio ingine akuna waria kwa mjengo either you import from Meru watu wa mkono, but all in all nyumba iliisha…

Then ata mimi just before election time i started kujengea mum apa gishagi Sagana, her retirement home my guka ndio ako ndani so mum awezi mwambie atoke so i had to do something, building in Sagana is too cheap with 400k already naweka roof nyumba ni 36 by 30 feet

It depends with an individual list of priorities in your spending…some things are luxury that you can drop and you will not be harmed. …9k for a bedsitter is a lot… place yenye mimi na park 1bedroom ni 8k… kitchen iko na choo…maji ni through out ya borehole…fare ni 50 offpeak na peak ni 80-100…to tao…ni kujipanga my friend

Congrats for taking baby steps towards the long walk to freedom. Mine took 4 long years before achieving a semblance of a habitable place. Many are the times I used to feel utter despair when I visited the place and imagine the amounts I had spent without seeing any immediate returns.

Last thing, I never told wife ,hii story hajui though nimekuwa nikimprepare zile za… unajua huku tunaweza hama anytime kama caretaker hapump maji all the time ,…kwanza time ya uchaguzi alimalysia shags ati anaogopa war, nimenunua maji sana…ingine ni ile Canaan mwitu ya babu nimekuwa namshow tunaenda huko pia… sometimes mawife huleta demands zingine na hajui uko kwa mission,…so unasave up to the last coin…
