They think secession will be the end of their problems. Wacha big corporations come knocking with goodies to set up government systems na hawana resources. Watajiharia. Resources are a better bargaining chip in any country.

I wish people would just stop threatening us and do it! Then maybe this stupid secession nonsense would be over and our country could start healing…

even English speaking regions of Cameroon want to secede from their French speaking regions.

The irony of Spain is that for a nation that gave 400 million people a language, the country is divided into ethnic groups that do not even look the same and some do not speak the same language as the others.
Quick Overview
Spain is divided into Castllians, Andalusians, Aragonese, Catalonians, Basque, Galicians and Canary Islanders.
Castillians and Andalusians speak the same language(Castillian, which is actually what we call Spanish) but with different dialects.
Andalusians however, are on average, dark(Antonio Banderas), short with and with Black hair while Castillians are mostly brown haired. Andalusians are the largest ethnic group in Spain.7 of Spain’s 33 million ethnic Spaniards are Andalusians
Aragonese mostly speak Castillian but their language still survives in rural Aragon. Aragonese are Nordic, so most of them are Blonde . The ruling family’s blondeness is due to this.
It is the Castillians and the Aragonese under Isabella of Castille and Ferdinand of Aragon who united Spain in its present day boundaries in 1492. Castillans are mostly based around Madrid
Catalonians are mostly like the Castillians, physically, with most of them being brown haired with a few blondes but have a different language. Catalonia was part of Aragon but always had autonomy under Aragon. That has not been the case under the Spanish monarchy. Catalonia occupies North East Spain with Barcelona being the heart of the region.
Galicians(Who are found in both Western Spain and Northern Portugal) do not speak a Latin Language. Galicians are Celtic, unlike the Castillians, Catalonians and Andalusians who are Mediterranean. Galicians ,like the Irish and Scots, have many Redheads in their community. They do not speak Spanish/Castillian
Canary Islanders are also distinct culturally.P.S. Canary Islanders have never practised Bull-fighting.Ever. Bull fighting is actually banned there as they see it as a Castillian -Aragonese tradition. Canary Islander Spanish is a distinct dialect of Castillian.
Most Cuban Whites are Canary Islanders(Though Fidel Castro was part Canary, Part Galician)
Basques are an anomaly not only in Spain, but in the human race.
Basques are descended directly from the last remaining Neanderthals. Their language is not related to any other language on this planet and is the hardest language on Earth.
Heck even their skulls look different.
Little wonder, even they agitated for Independence in the 70s and formed ETA, a terrorist group that was known for its bombing of Spanish cities.
I see Catalonia going down the same path, and given that Catalonia has a much larger population than Basque ever had, the scale will be even bigger.
