Walipe dividends za maana wawache umeffi

Mworia has clarified that the figure quoted by Business Daily is for the entire management team and not his salary alone.

@Okiya, you know this does not help. Most of these financial statements are doctored. Angeweka tu payslip ya August 2017 hapa tuone. Or December 2016 ndio tuone those bonuses.

Payslips are easier to doctor than financial statements.

@Okiya @panktcha have you ever tried going through Centum financial books, to me they are very murky. They had 9B in sales and operating income of 1.1B and yet net income was 6B. They thrive on future valuations not present valuations and dividends are paid from debt, not profits

They’ve given priority to boost quality of its asset and yield is in the appreciation of its share value rather than dividends. Maybe they are playing the long game, kama Amazon.

Most profits by centum are revaluation gains, not hard cash. That is where the problem is. Management receives their payment in cash or stocks (which can easily be sold), while gains are hypothetical figures until realized. What prevents management from inflating profits? Nothing

But revaluation gains don’t go through profit and loss. They go through other comprehensive income.

That is the whole point of being an investment company - Increase the value of assets in the long run. Assets are revalued after they have added value to them. This translates to their share price and that is how investors are to receive gains.
