Computer gurus kujeni haraka upesi. What is this encryption shit?

There is no working decryptor for this virus.

Also this ransomware payload does not come as a. exe file. You may see a .tff file or a file with no extension at all. Its normally started in the background by a .bat file, word macros, HTA app, VBS file etc. Sometimes it’s downloaded from the net by a modified setup app. So just get a good antivirus. With so many delivery methods hata wasee wanajua comp sana can get screwed by this.
And treat downloaded torrent files as though they are radioactive.

Good news is that antiviruses are heavily targeting this ransomware at the moment (this being the biggest threat atm) so it’s unlikely to get past if your av virus definitions are up to date.

Right now if you download a PDF or Word doc and it looks like the fonts don’t display properly and you’re asked to install fonts included… or you download a book that comes as a HTA… or a CHM that gets content from the net. Just stop. Your butt is being lubricated.

There’s Office 2016 ISOs, Adobe PS CC 2015, and other popular apps on torrents that come with this virus hidden inside as well. Use AVs people. Or torrent in a virtual machine.

Mimi books I only download from Trusted uploaders after kusoma comments. Same to software, especially when on Russian websites.

On this antivirus part, ever since ransomeware came into the scene I always told people to use AV’s. It doesn’t matter how geeky you are if you use torrent sites and Porn alot. That’s why the only paid software in my comp ni Antivirus. My friends keep wondering how am a techie kinda but keep buying Antivirus only to come to me when nuked for help.

Apart from that, I realized this guy and a previous post about this where using windows 7 so I just did a quick search and yes it looks like window 7 is exposed to these attacks more than 10.So also I think should just move on and upgrade.Hii mambo ya kustick na windows 7 for blah blah reason is pointless with such attacks laying in wait.

If it’s ransom-ware designed to encrypt .doc and .xlsx files, it does not matter where your word or excel document is. Ata kama they are on a flash disk and it was plugged in at the time of action, they gets ferked up.
