Confusing, isn't it? A black hole is supposed to be, well, black, no?

Light year is a unit of distance. The distance light travels in one earth year.

For instance, light from our sun takes 8 minutes to reach earth. That is equivalent to 8 light minutes (0.00001581 light years).

So if we look at the sun and see it as it was 8 minutes ago, shouldn’t that be the case with Sagittarious which are seeing 25,000 years in the past?

25,000 earth years ago.
It’s confusing, I say. Some times I am not sure of what I know.
