Create website

If you make that website you not only deny a developer a job but you’ll also turn away one parent coz of your workmanship

Come on girl, you mean to tell us Zuckerberg is still writing code the way he used to?. He comes with ideas and uses people for implementation, Bill Gates too stopped writing code at some time, he is even quoted saying he will prefer a lazy person for a job because the lazy person will find the easiest way of doing it…

@kanmz go ahead and do it, but do a good job.

Zuckerberg job is social engineering. Not coding. Bezos is logistics. Not coding.

By job I mean the aspect that brings in the money. The tech is useful for getting to a minimum viable product, then engineers are hired to take over. But if you want to keep on doing things that can be outsourced go ahead.

so you’re comparing an upstarter to an individual only starting up? This is the same thing to you?

You cannot start a business without the technical skills you understand. It will flop, you need to be all rounded. The two examples don’t do the stuff anymore because their businesses are no longer startups but corporates

False. Mark Cuban, $3.3B in investments. Didn’t code, wasn’t a tech guy. He made his money by selling tech businesses. He literally sold stuff that was developed by others.

You may argue that’s a system that works, can it be done in Africa?

Yes. Aliko Dang’ote. Started of with $3k borrowed money to import. Then set up plants to manufacture what he imported before. Then borrowed $400m funding to expand on a cement plant he got from the Nigerian government. Then he got into oil and gas. Is he an oil & gas engineer? Does he have tech background in plants?

I’ll say it again for you. The richest men find out exactly what they can sell (the hustle), use other people’s skills (developers) and pay them with other people’s money (financiers). Everyone has a role. If your role is to develop, do it, but never tell anyone that they can’t start a business without tech background. That’s not the hustle.

seriously? African examples? Africa people don’t make things and you can see the results for yourself. A contiguous land mass of suffering and problems. Dangote is an inheritor of his family’s business which credit to him he has diversified and developed
Cuban was a salesperson who started a software selling company. I don’t know what you’re on about.

Sigh. Ok. As you were.
