The ones I’ve seen are either auto or CVT. A car can’t be both auto and manual at the same time. Describe the setup
It has an option of auto or selecting gear 1 to 3 using the same gear knob
Thats an auto with selectable gears. For autos of old if you select 3 the transmission wont go past gear three but can go down to two and one. The other types hold on to gear three until you shift yourself

Do your research first. Most manufacturers will insist on using a specific type of product for specific engines. Make sure you know exactly what kind of oil you are looking for.
If you show up asking for ‘CVT oil ya mitsubishi…’, you might end up getting the wrong stuff and ruining your tranny. Your best bet is to buy the original stuff (from the official dealers if possible), and not the generics.
I am not experienced in this, but I have heard of J4(J1) and NS2-J1 oils. I am not sure of the differences or whether there are any other variants.
