That average is the problem considering the potencial. Like Raila junior said, they need to realise that today air travel is just an alternative means and the means are many. I wonder what will happen if say the std gauge railway introduces efficient, speedy and pocket friendly rail travel to msa, ksm, eldoret etc. KQ will have to suspend local flights altogether as they will be carrying 2 passengers. To cover those operational costs they need good sales and they wont get that from tourists

Ethiopian gets govt subsidies. 540 is a low cost airline.
