do you think Uhuru will achieve the big 4 before he leaves office?

He promised free primary education.

1/2 a million homes is something that can be actualized easily.
If Uhuru today announce tax credit for the investors, you will be surprised by the number if global investors that will show up.

We relocate it to Naivasha, then we can kick start it again.

The next President may kill The big four to.

You know me I think like you on this one. First of all, ata implement aje na unaona kama leo bado ako U.K. anazurura tu huko ni kama ako kwao hata ashasahau hawa walikuwa colonialists na walifunga baba yake karibu miaka kumi!

Uhuru should’ve just given himself the ministry of foreign affairs and saved the taxpayer money. Na akitoka U.K. his initials namesake, sijui atapitia wapi asalimie sijui nani, hawa watu wanafaa wamfukuze arudi kwao!

Where will you find the time to achieve any agenda? Nairobi ni chafu, Nairobi river ni ticking time bomb, Mombasa ni chafu, knh ni chafu, corruption kila mahali… vitu kama hizo huwa hana haja nazo. He likes taking photos with the big boys of the world.

SMH…in sadness…

Must Uhuru be present so as work to be done ? Then, Nairobi na Mombasa kuna Governors.

I’m always skeptical when the govt has its hand in something. Halafu the attempt at privatization is always about bringing in foreigners. We are fucked if we do, fucked if we don’t.

With Uhuru’s leadership style that is a difficult question to answer, since ni kama amewachilia ikuwe free for all.

In my view a president is a real president and not a political entity. Akiona Mombasa kuna uchafu do something. Sio kwuuliza, “mnataka nifanye nini? Katiba imesema huko ni kwa Joho, nifanye nini?”

Otherwise, why are you a president? Na kama ni hivo unasema, then why refuse with govt. funding? Kindly give 80% of that money to the counties wajipange nayo!

lakini in U.K.'s case anakataa na pesa na hataki kuongoza. With kibaki or even nusu mkeka you could feel the leadership but not with our tourist.

Ukiangalia kibaki the people he gave the mandate to achieve his pillars hawakuwa jokers. Ni tumzee tujanja tunaelewa kazi. Akina Michuki. Akina Saitoti. Akina Muthaura na kimemia etc. People who actually got the job done.

But in uhuru’s case his dear friends and classmates have very good college degrees but zero delivery. Amina Mohamed hata hajui walimu huongeleshwa aje. This was a diplomat used to dealing with classy wazungus in high end European cities. Atawezana aje na Sossion?

Or wakhungu for instance. Bans plastics but she’s too educated and too uppity to organize young men to clean a river or a city like Michuki. Or the Maasai guy who replaced her. That one who talks as if he wants to vomit! Huyo hata amewai kanyaga River road in his life? At least waiguru could walk in kibera can this Maasai guy even dare walk in kibera or korogocho?!

Or U.K.'s other close friend that guy who was on JKL recently john ngumo. Yaani maringo ni kama ya kasichana kadogo. What will he achieve in the oil sector? He will loot that place dry.

As long as Uhuru does nothing when it comes to fighting corruption those pledges will never be achieved because his own thieving friends and his political allies will happily sabotage him.

Uhuru will not achieve it.
Reasons.
-He hires sycophants who only praise him
-Uhuru and his deputy are very self centered, selfish politicians , esp Ruto…if something does not benefit them or their families, it can’s see the light of day
-The Uhuruto cabal is not interested in economic empowerment of the People, because econonomically empowered people cannot be manipulated with small stupid gifts from the state to keep them in power.

if there will be any milestone that will be achieved, it will be the citizens own efforts…

It’s a wonderful article but I suspect Housing PS Charles Mwaura is about to get the frustration of his life.
In the article he said “…Third, our low demand, curtailed by lower purchasing power” after listing 1)cost of land and 2)cost of building materials as the barriers to affording quality homes for majority of Kenyans.
By low purchasing power I have a feeling he is talking about low uptake of mortgages.
The interest rates in Kenya are high. They’re about to get higher unless MPigs reject the underway plans by CBK and now Uhuru to remove the interest rates cap.
There was a headline in Daily Nation about something Uhuru said while in the UK. The headline was President Kenyatta backs plan to scrap or modify rates cap law.

Let’s now connect the dots.
On one side he’s promising 500,000 homes and on the other side he’s pulling the carpet under the feet of potential mortgagors by supporting removal of interest rates cap. Who will afford those homes other than his super wealthy family and close friends? Ama that’s the plan, to use government funds to enrich the highrollers in the name of helping Wanjiku?
