Really?! Shouldn’t have been painful, maybe pressure during placement but that’s it. The worst part for most patients is numbing the skin with local anesthetic, it feels like a bee sting! If the proceduralist punctures the dura by mistake, one can get a nasty positional headache, perhaps that’s what you experienced.
The numbing was hell!! Because you feel every inch of that long needle. Never experienced headaches so I guess all in well
