Crashing cocktails was/is kawaa for young jamaaz in the media - you get free food and drinks on a Friday and if you are lucky some flashy merchandise (whatever they are launching and other goodies).

There’s a certain Kisii drunk - I often see him i town with a million dents - who used to do the entire circuit, Monday to Friday. Serena, Hilton, New Stanley, The Intercon. He’s now persona non grata in all high end establishments.
