i don’t think we have sunk that low; and one bad apple doesn’t make you condemn the whole basket…you might also want to think about eternal pessimism as an illness…

Cases of police planting evidence are not unheard of unless one is living in their own utopia built under a rock. Even people being payed to admit crimes they did not commit.

Fact based cynism is not pemissism, but, sometimes delusional people might tend to think themselves optimists.

And even if it was eternal pessimism as you put it, it would be an illness in our socio-governing system and not the individual.
