True. A fellow I know once contracted malaria in northern U.S after a visit to Kenya and they had no idea what disease it was he was suffering from. He insisted he knew it was malaria but they told him to await a tropical diseases expert from halfway across the country in Florida. He ended up having to take a flight out of the U.S to access antimalarial treatment.

the same thing is happening she went to the hospital tests weâre done they found she malaria, but they donât have the medicine. she was given pain killers for the headache.
