4. Voter fatigue from non Nyanza strongholds. Voting RAO and losing since 2013 especially in Coast, Ukambani and Western. In Bungoma RAO underestimated the Wetangula factor- didn’t even have a pointman). Mps like Didmas were pulling huge crowds and Ruto had been to the remotest areas doing harambees (RAO only went to Posta grounds Bungoma once). Coast. Rutos numerous trips bore fruits. Losing leaders like Kingi, Aisha Jumwa etc delivered. The port politics with Ruto promising to restore all port operations to Mombasa was a game changer. Ukambani looks set for a new crop of leaders.
