Nimyi ndio mnakataa kuwapatia leave. I was working in another NGO, the management would make sure ile siku kina dada watapata labour pains ndio wanakubaliwa kuenda leave.

This used to happen all the time when we were growing up in eastlands. We were young boys and wanted to see the ugly but elderly women just wouldn’t let us :D:D until one day Dr Muthoni decide to undress and run around naked in broad daylight. The adult women were trying to cover her up but she wouldn’t let them. She was raining blows on anybody who attempted to cover her. She had a thick bush so we saw nothing. We were very disappointed
When a baby is nearing delivery date, probably days or weeks to due date,a woman’s water can break at any moment,and most women prefer to work till the last date to utilise the 3 months maternity leave to take care of the newborn
