Interest Rates Capping: We were mistaken or what?

I was against this law. Capping looks good from far but history shows its far from good. Some of the consequences I predicted here would happen once this law was signed were:

  1. Difficulty in accessing loans
  2. Introduction of funny funny banking fees
  3. Rise of Shylocks
  4. Fall of banking stocks
  5. Collapse of 3rd tier banks

I think numbers 1-4 have now come to pass. Number 5 will also happen

Perhaps mergers and buy-outs will forestall no. 5.
