Regardless, this nano thing will then be completely useless here unless he is trying to connect to a wifi deployment on that kind of large scale/distance deployment…otherwise we would just buy this nano and enjoy java wifi in the comfort our homes.

LOL. In lay man language, wifi ni wifi. Only thing modified are the transmitting device with different power, frequency etc and antenna.
I run a WISP (wireless ISP) my furthest client is 17km from the base station. If incognitus with his nano station was 15km away and in line of sight I would be able to provide Internet services. With a better CPE such as the powerbeam the range can be extended further.

There is a deal am getting of initial setup 9K for buying that nano thing plus one month unlimited wifi. After that its 1,250 per month. Am assuming the nano gadget is around 8K by that math… The company is SurfKenya. Speeds am not sure but its streaming without hitches at my neighbour’s place.
