This wasn’t a major incident and we probably wouldn’t have heard about it (from Washington) if Iran didn’t ‘brag’ about it. There are many similar (and some more aggressive) encounters that go unannounced during routine military exercises (especially btw US and Russia).
I take it as a win-win for both sides. Iran has shown her defense capabilities, and on the other hand the US was possibly able to get more info about Iran’s defense installations (locations).
Since the US public is not buying this, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an attack soon on US soil, which will be blamed on Iran terrorists.
I would like to see the GPS location of the drone. If the US had strayed into Iran’s airspace, they have only themselves to blame. However, shooting anything in international waters is a risky game Iran is playing
But Iran is no saint.These guys did the EXACT same thing to Israel last year and sent a drone into Israel, but it was shot down.
