John Magufuli is bulldozing the opposition and wrecking the economy

Do you seriously believe what you’ve posted?

There’s a flaw with this arguement. Can you give me a couple of examples of US companies and which foreign entity they are fleecing.

Check this post in five years’ time.

I am abit unbalanced at the moment but I should know that we have had countless US firms pursuing resources and projects in central and South American countries. Bechtel would be a good example.

And so are Chinese firms doing the same. And Russian and European entities. And they have been doing so for decades.

You got me lost for a moment. But am glad you can follow. Now a few more facts. An American firm is the same as a European firm. Second, for every one Russian or Chinese firm, there will be 999 western firms.Third, western firms have been doing it for close to five centuries, while the others are newcomers. You might want to read about Haiti paying former colonial masters for gaining its freedom.

I think you are just trying to force a point that cannot be defended, that has no facts to lean on.
Understand this. Communism cannot work. It is as simple as that. Like someone here just said, nobody has the incentive to work harder. I cannot be paid the same amount of money for carrying heavy things in a warehouse with someone who is basically just sitting and supervising.

Hapo umenoa. America’s interest is simply because of Cubas geography in relation to the U.S. In the old days Cuba (with the help of an enemy) could have locked off the U.S. ships from getting to the Atlantic ocean. Recently it was more about Fidel Castro and his friendly ties to the Russians who wanted to place nuclear missiles pointed at the U.S. in the 1960s in retaliation at the U.S. who wanted to put missiles in Italy and Turkey. IF Cuba was anywhere else on earth she would be as irrelevant as the Faroe Islands or Vanuatu or Hondurus. Names you only hear of during the olympic games.

There was a huge migration of Cubans to Miami in the early 80s. It’s chronicled in thay movie Scar Face. A lot of those immigrants are old today and still complain and say they want to go back home to Cuba. Reality ni kwamba they know they’ll leave their cafes and smartphones and nice cars and nice houses behind and have to pick up jembes and pangas on arrival in Cuba and start planting bananas and sugarcane to survive . Cuba is one big ushago with shambas even in the city center. Granted there’s little crime, corruption and the people live off the land and reuse everything a million times. Even an old soda bottle is never discarded, they reuse it many more times. They learnt how to live without due to embargoes. Hata gari inatunzwa kama mtoto. The few who have them drive well kept relics from the 1950s before Castro. Nothing goes to waste. Their medical care is unmatched and they are also quite litterate though ‘backward’. Truth be told it would be hard to live like a Cuban. The Kenyan equivalent ni kurudi uishi deep in the reserve kutoka Nairobi.

What you indicate here are the textbook reasons, which rarely point to the deeper truths.

Kwani umekuwa ukiishi wapi? The capitalists/democrats won unanimously. It was an absolute complete victory! The Berlin wall fell and Russia accepted complete and utter defeat. Hata Nyerere hapa karibu aliitikia. Socialism is madness. It just can’t work because humans like to compete and we are very greedy. And we don’t trust each other and we don’t like to share. Which makes capitalism and democracy the closest thing to perfection. In a democracy you can live like a simple socialist if you want or live like a filthy rich oligarch like Jimmi Wanjigi if you so wish. America wasn’t interested in whether socialism works or not, but rather that it doesn’t spread to America. The only objective of the predominantly white regime was to keep communism and socialism away and protect the so called American way of life. And they didn’t joke when it came to purging socialists, communists or any other form fascists. Even in Hollywood big actors and producers were thrown the fuck out of their jobs. Google the Hollywood Blacklist. And these were very powerful individuals. The Americans already knew socialism would never work because of the madness required for a socialist or communist dictator to gain power and retain power e.g. Stalin and Hitler.

These socialist were very good systems on paper but eventually they became crap when it came to implementation. In fact if you read them they paint perfect world of fairness but they’re far from that. For instance Stalin aliiamua he’ll get rid of everyone he started the journey to power with. Na aliwaua wote. He turned from communist to dicatator which is what often happens. Even Castro eventually became a cult figure who can’t be questioned. Then for these sytems to work well you have to remove the church and any religion from the equation ndio uweze kuondoa maadui vizuri. In Cuba Castro even decides which bulbs to keep in your house. Everyone suspects everyone else to make sure you’re supporting the supreme leader.

As far as Cuba in particular was and still is concerned today, its proximity and location to the U.S. was the main fear. All you need to do is look at a map showing where Cuba is and where the U.S. is then add young, handsome, charismatic ,communist revolutionaries like Fidel and Che and the fear is obvious. The white ruling establishment in the U.S. was dead scared. This two fellows could infect the youth in America especially the poor minorities and who knows what could happen. Whether communism or socialism created wealth was not important but its political implications was the problem.

And the fear wasn’t only in America here in Kenya I imagine the young Raila and Ngugi wa Thiongo and others, used to dream of walking along Kenyatta avenue after overthrowing the muthamaki govt that suppressed the people. And young girls would be screaming their names and all that. And then they would proceed to jail all the rich bastards and implement new agricultural systems where everyone is equal. Hio ilibaki ndoto walitimuliwa kutimuliwa.

China cannot be used to show the success of socialism. Only the socialist party remains, I mean the country has more dollar billionaires than the US. That’s a capitalist state.

True. There are very few countries today that are completely communist or socialist just as there’s no country that is completely capitalist. The reality is that the experts or scientists who came up with these systems ended up being ignored by the people who held the power in these systems. And most of these leaders are not very highly educated they only wanted a vehicle to get to power. Wakifika huko juu they start plucking out pages from the rule book to suit their needs.

Like you mentioned, China’s markets are highly capitalist but the government is communist. And then there’s that word Raila likes to mention a lot: “The social democrat.” This is where you have both social sytems as well as a democracy like in the Nordic countries. But with politicians they might say one thing while they mean the exact opposite. In a social democracy they have a welfare system to help those with nothing such that absolute poverty is reduced. Even America has many social systems and welfare yet they claim to be a pure capitalist democracy.

A very wise man you are, sir.

Tell us one single country in Africa that capitalism has benefited majority of its people , Capitalist always find socialism as a threat because they know thats the best philosophy to the development of human kind…

Exactly!
When it comes to gold, especially African gold & rare earth minerals, and especially in the last 5yrs sewing how gold prices are being manipulated and how other countries are buying the metal in view of global economics, I don’t mind his ‘autocracy’.

People think being a leader is easy, when international corporations & conglomerates, some richer than our countries, geopolitical fisis, internal & external enemies abound.

I just wish he brings TZ maendeleo.
The problem with power is that it can be an Achilles heel if not handled with finesse and tact. Everything seems like a nail that must be hammered and then one forgets to drive his country towards goals, and instead focuses on maintaining their position.

But yeah, articles like these should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Maybe some Kenyans who are there can shed some light for us.

That is pure nonsense!!
Because Socialism went so well for Eastern Europe, the Balkans and the Soviet Union, the latter which was powerful enough to stop Western meddling in its internal affairs
