If you have never been caught up in a war between kanjos and hawkers, then you got no idea how vicious it can get. And for the record, it’s the hawkers who started killing the kanjos using their protection gangs. Kanjos only took up the violence a notch higher.

If kanjo askaris have been “selling” space to the hawkers, of course they will resist being moved out of the city after all, they have paid “rent” whether under the table or not, they are “bona fide tenants” of the city council. If they are forced out after paying they will fight back.
On the other hand they’re some hawkers who believe they shouldn’t pay kanjo what they don’t own, as Kidero advocates, and those are the ones who find themselves dead. this is a mafia like operation and just as deadly, any threat is extinguished
I suggest KRA should take a look at unpaid income tax;)
