I totally understand your rant. I have seen the same on the bypass slow moving vehicles sticking to the right lane instead of left. But then again it might be because of matatu stages and “stages” being on the left making folks stick to the right.

it’s my daily route to work… yesterday accident was nasty I could see I guy trapped inside the car and blood all over his bonnet … this is the same place where a student was knocked to the point his head was separated from his body.
Exact reason why I always stick to the innermost lane.
